ABALAR ACTIVITY

Dear students,

In this entry you will find the new activity that we chose today in class. The main purpose of this activity is to broaden your knowledge on the city of Kent. The first part is related to the city of Canterbury and its famous tales. This activity has a text with the audio description so you can see how some words are pronounced. This can be used in class as a reading or listening comprehension exercise. There is a test that can be used to test the listening comprehension.

The following section deals with Dover Castle. The first activity is the typical fill in the gaps exercise, that includes grammar and vocabulary review.

Our third section on Broadstairs uses a True or False exercise to check our reading comprehension. This exercise is also used in the Charles Dickens' section, along with a text-based exercise, using the fill in the gaps pattern. In Charles Dickens' section, we can find another exercise in which the students have to match the two parts of some of Dicken's most famous novels.

Finally there is a review section, including a map. to locate the main areas that we talked about in the previous exercises; there is a crossword to review the main topics of the different sections; a dictation to check both listening comprehension and writing, among others.

You can find the link to the activity below,

Have a nice week!

Dear students,

We have a problem. Remember Abraham Lincoln? He tried to avoid going to the theatre with his wife and ended up in the 21st Century. Now you need to help him get around with an updated English knowledge. Imagine that you see Abraham in the streets, which five phrases would you teach him?

See you on Wednesday!

Dear students, I have uploaded to Dropbox the two sets of exercises from last week. The first one is a review of the present simple, the negative sentence and some translation exercises. You should send this to my personal email by 4pm on Friday. The next activity is a creative writing activity. You'll have to pick one opening from a novel and continue the story. You can find the link to the Dropbox exercises on the right side tab. Have a nice weekend.

The Mistake by anonymous
Read the comic strip. Now in groups of 4 to 5 people, think and draw the last two possible situations and explain your choice to the rest of the groups.

Hello everybody, in this new entry you can find the video about the main expressions you can use in a restaurant. It is the same video that we saw in today's lecture. Hope you enjoy it, have a nice weekend!

Welcome to your learning space!

Dear students, welcome to your new learning area for the English language module. I hope you find this tool entertaining and useful. See you soon!
